This Unfinished Buddha statue, currently located in Karmawibhangga, is believed to be originated from the largest stupa of Borobudur. The name itself suggests that this Buddhist art is not completed due to unknown reason. When observed the hands of the statue are not fully carved. The right arm is longer than the left and one of the shoulders is bigger than the other.
Currently located at an island near Nagarjuna Sagar in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, India is the popular Buddhist site associated with the Buddhist scholar Nagarjuna. Hence it is known as Nagarjuna Konda. The word konda means hill in the Telugu language. Therefore, Nagarjunakonda means Nagarjuna hill.
The Manmodi caves are a complex of rock-cut caves situated about 3km to the south of the city of Junnar in India. It is believed that the caves were carved on the natural trade routes. This route is formed by the passes that lead to the basaltic plateau of the Western Ghats from the coast.
Magul Maha Viharaya is an ancient Buddhist temple located at Lahugala, Ampara District of Sri Lanka. It lies on the northern edge of the Lahugala National Park which is about 22 km away from Siyambalanduwa town and about 11 km away from Pottuvil town. It is believed that the temple was established in 2nd century BCE during the period of King Kavantissa.
